Off to Grandma’s house we go!
Goin’ to Mom and Dad’s for the weekend. Nan and I were remarking how it is always nice to go there, and how relaxing it can be. We are ready for a good family weekend just chillin’ out with the boys.
Should be a great time.

I am not a huge proponent of saying this is a really cool little trinket piece of software….
But, my brother in law showed me one the other day I thought was neat.
It is called Object Dock. The reason I think it is neat, is more and more as I travel down this road of computing in life, I realize that I would love to try a mac sometime. They seem clean and effective. I could probably have much the same in linux but I love some of my programs that I use and I don’t think they make them for linux.
Anyhooo, this software gives you a little bar at the bottom of your screen that the icons of your programs move on a la mac desktop. check it out. It is pretty cool. So, I downloaded the trial version to try.
Kinda neat.

We are spending some family time this week for March Break. Today we are in Brantford visiting our friends the Douwes’. Good times. The kids went swimming at the hotel and had a blast.
Paul and I sat around and shot the breeze for a while and now I am getting some work done online.

Man, it was so gorgeous (sp?) out yesterday! It was awesome. We were down to the Aunt And Uncle’s for dinner and we had barbecue… Mmmmmmm, barbecue. I sure hope spring hurries up and gets here.
Last night was just a little taste of the good times to come. I can hardly wait.
Comin’ over??

Last week, we had Porthos’ front claws removed. I know, some of you might think that cruel. Well, if he had continued to scratch things like he was doing… I would have been a lot crueler let me tell ya…
So, the other night, Nan is checking out the paws of said critter and finds what we think is a claw! We actually think that they missed one! Nan had a friend over this morning and Christine thinks it might just be leftovers of sorts.
We are taking Porthos to the vet Saturday morning to verify what the issue is. I hope he does not have to stay over again and go under for another operation. He was absolutely loopy last time. I felt sorry for the little gaffer.

I have come to cherish this time honoured event again in my life. As a kid in school, you used to dream during February of the wonderful week you would get off from school in March to play, have fun, and generally do whatever came to mind. Some took family vacations, some stayed home.
After finishing school and starting work, I missed it immensely. With no kids, Nan and I had no reference point for March break for a while other than the influx of kids at the mall that week for Nan.
Now that we have kids of our own in school, the joy has returned. Oh happy day!
It is gonna be a busy week! Friday night Nan and I are meeting friends for dinner, Saturday we are having dinner with the Thompsons (family), Sunday we have our neighbours from our old place coming to visit with their new baby, Monday in Cambridge to visit Dad, Phil and Hez, Tuesday in Brantford at the Douwes’, Wednesday at home with Laurie and Afton, Thursday we are having the Wades over, and Friday we are taking off for my parents for the weekend.
Phew! And in there, I have a website to create, more human resources development, a couple of design projects for a client and other clients to follow up with. Should be a great fun week

It has been a crazy week. Nothing too mind shattering, but boy has it been busy. I am looking forward to posting a bit more this week.
