Well, imagine….
to my suprise when I went to my blog last night and I saw this!!!

Yikes! All of my client sites were the same. Not kewl as my friend said… No, not kewl at all.
Wrote an email to the server guys in Montreal and they responded promptly and said something to the effect of…
Well, that was unexpected.
Your server has been scheduled to be upgraded in the next 30 days.
We are now going to do that upgrade tonight.
Please stand by.
All is back up and running this afternoon I believe. A little bit scary though…

Nan and I have been in business for approximately 7 years now. That is just mind boggling to me.
Lately, it has been very very busy. I am not complaining. There have been a few times in the last few years where we have relied heavily on God because we had no idea when the next job or cheque was coming.
Last week, we were travelling somewhere ( I cannot honestly remember where it was…) and Nan and I were have a really good talk. I was saying to her that there are a few people in our lives right now that are looking to change vocations. I also said to Nan that wouldn’t it be really cool if God decided to really grow our business to the point where we had to hire some people?
Scary thought really….
But I often wonder what He has in store for our little company sometimes. We have been very blessed in the last few years. I don’t know. Will we continue to be busy, will be go through more quiet times, what, where, when, why, who, how?
These are all questions that I would like answered Lord…
I realize that I need to be patient, but it is hard sometimes…

Jack was REALLY sick this weekend. He stayed up way too late at Will’s sleepover and got up way too early Saturday morning.
So, by Saturday night he was really under the weather. Threw up during the night once and had a blistering fever on Sunday. Nan stayed home from church with him and he slept most of the morning away. We had the whole family over for Will’s birthday on Sunday too.
Jacks came down and sat on the couch between Grandpa Thompson and Grandma Hutchison for a while looking completely out of his gourd..
Poor little guy.
He stayed home from school today and is definitely feeling better. The kid ate almost two bowls full of pasta for dinner! Wow, got yer appetite back or what dude?
Today his statement was
Pasta la vista baby…
I am sitting on the couch in the livingroom right now typing this listening to him. He is singing his heart out in his bed. He is singing the song Above All by Michael W. Smith.
I am so proud of that kid.

William has had a sleepover with a few of his friends for his birthday the last couple of years. This year is no different.
However, things are somewhat different this year.
The 3 friends arrived right around 5:30 and the games began. They were out in the back yard smiting (sp? smoting) each other with the nerf swords and jumping off the railing of the deck onto the lawn. Good boy stuff.
Then pizza for dinner! And while eating pizza they watched the first of 3 half-hour videos that were on tap for the evening. This year’s theme is Angle Wars Guardian Force…
Check it out here.
After the first video, it was cake, ice cream and gifts.
Then onto the 2nd video!
Break for a few minutes, to carry the cushions up to the bedroom where they are sleeping and then outside to play for a few minutes again.
Back in again for the 3rd video and chips and milk and water for snacks!
Sound like mayhem to you? Oh no, my friend. During all this time, Nan and I would poke our heads in the door periodically and see how things were going but they were having a blast. Nan and I cooked the pizzas then our own dinner and ate in relative private as the horde was downstairs banishing the demons that follow The Serpent by using their Angelic powers given by God.
After dinner, I put a new Lego Exo-force toy together. I am pretty good at it. Doug, you would be proud. The only hard part is that the stickers are hard for my big fat fingers to get in there.
Right now, they are playing Star Wars Lego II on X-Box and laughing so hard, that I just heard one of them say they are slobbering they are laughing so hard. Oh bother, we may have to shampoo the carpets next weekend.
All in all, a great birthday bash. Happy Birthday Will. 10 years. Sheesh, where have they gone?

Nan has been teasing me mercilessly for the last couple of weeks because she got me something and was not willing to ruin the surprise.
I am very glad she didn’t. After teaching her lessons tonight, she and Will went to pick up my surprise!
Here is my reaction.

Here is the surprise she got for me!!

I have a friend that I do a lot of work with and his wife is an amazing artist. Check out her site. She is awesome. She carves tikis and masks so Nan thought it would be a good idea to get me one. I LOVE it.
So, here is the contest… Name that tiki!!
Any suggestions?
Tom Tiki?
Terence Tiki?
Smiley?
Goofey?
Dopey?
What do you think?
Let me know.
By the way… Rich, if you knew about this and kept it to yourself, you’re a dog!

William, Justin and Jackson.
The three amigos.
Almost as funny as Chevy Chase, Martin Shortt and Steve Martin as well.

I have been thinking as of late, that my laptop might have been on the bend… As in just about ready to kick it to the curb. I was mentioning it to someone today and they asked me what resident programs are running. (the little icons and stuff in the bottom right for you non-techies…)
I looked around and sure enough there were two or three that were really bunging the system up good. I removed them and man oh man! It’s alive!
I think I may upgrade the RAM in it to give it another boost, but that sure does beat buying a whole new laptop… I mean, it would be nice to have a snazzy, new shiny machine, but really it would be just that… snazzy, new and shiny and not really different.

Last night we did a youth event with the teens from the church. We met at the Fleetway Bowling and Entertainment Centre.
Good times.
Bowling, Snooker, Foosball, Glow-In-The-Dark mini-putt, A high ropes course, and rock-climbing wall.
Look at this chick getting hooked up for climbing!

And here is the next part!

She is amazing that wife of mine. Eric said to me…
I’m gonna go and pay my money and do this! You gonna?
My reply (as said as it was)
Nope, Eric… I’d be lucky if I made it up 6 feet…
I dunno, I might be losing weight, but I think I am a ways off from scaling rock walls.
My wife on the other hand is a machine.. She did the rock climbing twice and the high ropes course once! And she was not feeling the best last night.
Wow, it would be amazing to see her on a good day (night).
I am a lucky dude.
Me, I just won 3 games of pool in a row…:)

Isn’t it funny how people remember things just a little bit off?
Like getting a phrase slightly wrong that has been around for a while?
At the breakfast table this morning, Jack did something that was not too bright and I commented on it..
His response…
I’m smarter than your average pear!
What? Wasn’t it “Smarter than your average bear..” (a la Yogi Bear?)
Funny kid.
