Ah the sounds of spring….

Thwack! Ting! Bonk!
The boys and I went to the driving range this afternoon after I picked them up from school.

Sweet.

How awesome is that huh?

Easter’s a comin’…

We are off to Grandma and Poppa’s place for the Easter weekend.
Everyone is very much looking forward to the trip.
We will however, be staying in town to attend the Good Friday service at our church.

The last few years, the St. Mary’s church and ours have gathered together for a joint service. Always fun.
We also have baptisms. Rather appropriate I would say.
This year, 3 of the youth group and our two close friends who became believers recently are being “dunked”.

I can hardly wait. It should be a fantastic day.

The 3 Musketeers

Yesterday afternoon we went and saw a play. We have been trying to establish a family day at least once a month.

The local highschool put this on and they did a fantastic job! Between the first and second half, I think it was about 3 and a half hours long. Some of these young thespians were excellent.
My favourites were the students who portrayed Monseigneur Richelieu, the King and the shopkeeper. They had great parts and did amazingly well.

Home from church

William has been fighting an absolutely NASTY cough this week.
When he gets a cough, he can’t stop. Friday night, he was coughing so much that he was doubled over because his stomach was hurting… Poor little gaffer.

He has been desperately trying to get better.. Early this week we set a date up with our friends the Koehlers to go and see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at the theatre today with their family. This is kind of the last hurrah for Will’s birthday. On Thursday we put it out there that Will might not be able to go if he was still sick and coughing.
He went to bed early last night of his own volition simply to try to get better. I think he will be alright to go this afternoon. I really hope so. He will be completely bummed if he isn’t.

Again?

Imagine to my surprise after the web host server was redone a day later it was hacked again.

The only difference to the picture above was that this time, it said, hacked AGAIN. ha ha ha. funny guy.

I would have given a lot of money to get my hands on said hacker and wrung his hopefully geekly, scrawny neck! ( I know that I am generalizing.)

It would seem that some other person who has sites hosted on the same server as mine in Montreal had scripts (pieces of code) that allowed for a security breach. They thought that the server itself was suspect but after upgrading the actual server software and getting hit again, they did a little more digging and found the offending user profiles with bad scripts ( not really bad, just insufficient in today’s high tech world).

I believe that they put everybody back up except those people. I have seen this kind of thing before. One of the forum softwares out there is very sketchy in terms of security. I have installed it once for a client and they have had it hacked multiple times.

Time for something a little more secure perhaps.

Anyhow, we are back up and running. I hope that we did not lose too much email. I am sure that a couple of them will be gone. I know that I lost a blog entry about a Florida trip upcoming ( Thanks Liane for the heads up). I will have to try to remember what I posted and redo it sometime.
