I have some ideas about what espresso machine I would like. I like the following ones but I am leaning toward one in particular because of price. It is on sale.
What are your thoughts? Do you like any particular one?
Let me know…

Sirena from Starbucks

Ascaso Fun in Black

Gaggia Baby in Ivory

Espressione Recto 4

So, I think I am going to replace my espresso machine. I had not realized how tired it is getting until we were at Eric and Lins’ this past week and Eric made me an americano with his machine. I could not believe the power his machine had…
So, I am on the hunt for a new one. I have no idea where to start really. I am looking for suggestions. If you have any ideas let me know. I would like to be in the 400-500 range. I know that will severely limit me but I think that is where I should be.
Let me know.

Nan and I were at the mall today and decided to get a coffee. As we were standing there, we noticed that they used the same type of coffee syrups that we use at home. Nan commented to me that we should ask if they sold them and how much would they be if they did indeed sell them. I asked and the reply was
Oh yes, we sell them. They retail for $10.25 each.
$10.25! Are you serious?! When we went to Toronto and bought a case from the supplier, I think we ended up paying $10.50!!!!
So, we bought 3. I cannot see myself going to Toronto for them anymore if I can just go to the local mall.
Go figure….

OK, I am getting closer.
I think I need to get to the Superstore and see if they have a pumpkin syrup or pumpkin spice…
I added a fair amount of Vanilla syrup to the mix so it has a bit of a vanilla flavour.
Not bad, just not really pumpkinny yet..
But fear not, at $5.00 a pop, I can figure it out. Trust me….

Well, my favourite latte is back at Starbucks.
But, man o man it is expensive.
I found a recipe on the net on how to make their syrup.
I think I will try it out later today.
One can hope at least.
I enjoy making my coffee at home.
It is certainly a great deal cheaper going to Fourbucks (I mean Starbucks)
I realize that I will not look as cool without that trendy partly recycled cup in my hand, but I am willing to pay the price…
I will let you know how it works out.
