All Done….

Posted by Dogfish

I wanted something different to go with the ink so I asked the artist Dane to make it look like it is cut in.
I am pretty stoked about the result.
It should look like it is cut in and hurts for all time.
Sweet.

Beginning of a very busy week.

Posted by Dogfish

Are weeks ever not busy anymore?
Nan and I have been lamenting about this a great deal lately. It would seem that we have put ourselves onto this perpetual wheel of motion that is life and sometimes we just want to yell…

Stop the ride! We want to get off and rest for a bit!

I am not sure that I can do much about this issue with everything that is required to be accomplished on a daily/weekly basis.
Anyhow, if anyone knows the secret, drop me an email will ya?
Thanks.

Different days.

Posted by Dogfish

I have a lot on my mind and plate these days.
It is quite obvious that blogging has not been a big priority in the last while.
I am considering taking the blog offline.
I probably won’t though. It is easy enough to leave there.

Dunno. gonna wait and see for a bit.

Phew!

Posted by Dogfish

Been a busy 3 weeks….
I think we might see some semblance or order shortly though.
The boys are back to school today and like most other kids not too thrilled about it.
Nan is back to teaching lessons today.

When Nan went to take the boys to school today, she noticed the car doors open. Lo and behold, someone had gone through the car, and taken all the spare change. Punks!

They did not destroy anything, just took the spare change. Thank you Lord!
A neighbour of ours said the same thing happened to them a couple of weeks ago. He even had a cellphone and an ipod in his car and the perpetrator did not touch them at all.

Bizarre. But I am thankful that my car is not damaged.

Mornings.

Posted by Dogfish

Hmmm. I never really enjoyed mornings that much before. Sure, when I was at camp, it was nice to get up and go down to the waterfront in the morning and paddle for a bit, but we are talking about the middle of suburbia now….

I have been getting up a little earlier as of late to kind of lend a hand to Nan with the puppy. I have to say that I am kind of enjoying it a little more now. Not sure why, but I am. Strange.

Going back a month or so….

Posted by Dogfish

April was very busy.
I cannot even remember most of it really. Too busy.

But I came across these pics this morning and wanted to share them.

The first is when we put up a new shed.. I know I blogged about the fact that we were going to do it, but did not show the result. Here it is. It sure is nice to not have everything wet in the shed anymore :)

Secondly, my mom and my aunt came to visit us very early in the month. What a great time we had!
Aunt Nan was slightly befuddled by the pace of life at our house, but they had fun nonetheless.

I love these two women.
I have been blessed to have quite a few mother figures in my life.

My mom.

My Aunt Nan.

I will talk more about these ladies later in the week, if you know what I mean…. ;)

Something old, something new….

Posted by Dogfish

I have been thinking about a change for the look of my blog for a bit now. I finally made a decision with the help of a couple people today.

So, don’t be all freaked out by the new look. It is still the same nonsense content as before. I love the middle picture in the banner. I dressed up as Princess Leia for the Christmas concert at church. Very serious stuff y’know….:)

Where does the time go?
I cannot believe it has been over a week since I posted.
In that week we have taken down an old metal shed, erected a new shed (plastic of some sort), done school, taught piano, worked lots of hours, gone out for dinner at family, been to the driving range twice, been to church twice, spoke at AWANA, did a youth event called Car Tag, drove to St. Thomas and back.

Wow. I did not know we were that busy.

A month and a bit ago, my Mom and my Aunt came down for a visit. It was almost funny watching Aunt Nan. She kept on looking around and saying…

Man! Does it EVER slow down around here?

Nope, it is a busy place. I didn’t think we were that busy either until I sat down to watch the news tonight and thought about all that we do..

Hmmm, is everybody this busy?
Let me know. I would like to know.

One new shed coming up!

Posted by Dogfish

We are going to attempt to put a new shed up this weekend. It is a 2 part stage really, emptying and tear down of the old metal shed and then prepping and building of the new plastic shed.

I am looking forward to having more room to store junk! :)
Actually, if this works works out, I might just get a bit more room in the basement. Sweet!

Pleasant surprise

I have been needing to get a new headlight for Harvey Honda for about 3 weeks now. You can tell how much night driving we do :)

I went to Canadian Tire today, and was in the parking lot praying that I could retrieve the headlight from under the hood without having to take apart half of the engine. It was awesome! One third of a turn and bloop! out it came.
Bonus!
Now comes the tough part, how much do they want for a Honda headlamp??? (See Don cringing..)
I go inside, ask a kindly older gentleman at the parts counter if he can help me and bingo! One headlamp for Harvey. $7.99!
Yipeee! And I even put it in myself and did not break anything and everything else in the car still works. PTL!

Great day.

    Some details about you.

I am just your average joe trying to make a living in this world. I sometimes wish I could go HOME now, but I know that I have been put here for a season and I am trying desperately to do my job while I am here.

    I really like Nan too....
